Q: Is all of the accommodation based on double occupancy?
A: Yes but for a surcharge we can accept single accommodation requirements.
Q: What if I have allergies or dietary requirements?
A: We send out a client medical form with your registration. You can let us know in advance and we will meet any dietary requirements. We do our very best to accommodate all.
Q: Are gratuities included in the tour price?
A: No, but highly appreciated.
Q: What is the difference between the Tweedsmuir Lodge tours and Big Mountain Heliskiing tours?
A: It is the same heliskiing / boarding experience. We ski in the same BCHS terrain with the same fleet of A Star B2 helicopters, guides, equipment and small intimate groups. The BMH accommodation is a hotel style setting and the Tweedsmuir is a historic lodge with full service.
Q: How many people stay at the lodge and the Brockton Inn (Big Mountain Heliskiing), at the same time?
A: Only 15 guests stay at either location.
Q: How do I get the latest weather and snow conditions in your area?
A: We have snow conditions posted throughout the season on our websites. If you need further clarification we ask that you telephone us at the lodge. 1.250.982.2404.
Q: Can I bring my cell phone?
A: You can…… but there is no cell service in the valley. We suggest sharing a Satellite phone amongst your group unless you already have one. Regular telephone and fax service is available at both our locations.

Q: Is there a high speed internet?
A: Yes we have Satellite wireless internet access at the lodge and in all of the chalets. The Brockton Inn also has IT access that you can use if need be.

Q: Can I be reached at the Tweedsmuir Lodge and the Brockton Inn?
A: Yes there is a guest line with answering service in the lodge and telephones in all the rooms at the Brockton.
Q: I am a fisherman; can I bring my own rod and reel?
A: Yes absolutely, although everything you will need is already in Bella Coola. For example: Rods, reels, waders and flys etc. So keep in mind your luggage restrictions and bring only what you absolutely must.
Q: Is there a power converter needed for overseas guests?
A: We are on 110 volts and you may need to bring an adapter if you have 220 / 240 volt equipment.
Q: Are all flights included?
A: Yes, your flights Vancouver to Bella Coola return are: however, your International flights or connecting flights to and from Vancouver are not included.
Q: Can I fly my own plane into Bella Coola?
A: If you wish to fly your own plane in you will need to contact us to make the necessary arrangements.
Q: When should I receive my airplane tickets from Vancouver to Bella Coola return?
A: You can pick up your tickets at the Pacific Coastal check in desk when you arrive at the South Terminal at the Vancouver Ariport. Our hostess will be there to greet you and assist in anything else you may need.
Q: Can we bring our own liquor?
A: At the lodge we have a full service bar and wine selection so there is no need to. You may contact us or our charter service if you wish to have anything flown in ahead of your arrival. A local liquor store and beer and wine store are also close by.
Q: How do I get my GST back?
A: Specific information can be obtained from the following pamphlet.

Q: What type of payments do you accept?
A: Visa, M/C and bank wire transfers for tour bookings and in Bella Coola we take cash, Travellers Cheques, Visa and M/C.
Q: What is your safety record?
A: To date there has been no heliskiing fatalities and only a few broken bones!
Q: What is the average age of your guests?
A: The average age is 35 – 49 years.
Q: Can I bring my own air bag?
A: Yes you can however they must be ABS to be allowed. On each lift you will be required to remove the ABS from your person before entering the helicopter.
Q: Do I require insurance?
A: We strongly recommend that you carry your own trip cancellation / interruption insurance. We also recommend that you purchase travel and accident insurance.

Q: Do I require a passport to travel to Canada?
A: The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States. In order to facilitate the implementation of this requirement, the Administration is proposing to complete it in phases following a proposed timeline, which will be published in the Federal Register in the near future.
The proposed timeline will be as follows:
December 31, 2006 - Requirement applied to all air and sea travel to or from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
December 31, 2007 - Requirement extended to all land border crossings as well as air and sea travel.
This is a change from prior travel requirements and will affect all United States citizens entering the United States from countries within the Western Hemisphere who do not currently possess valid passports.
