ARRIVAL DAY

"Our goal is to have you skiing and snowboarding the day of your arrival and the day of your departure!"

Your Bella Coola Heli Sports adventures begin in Vancouver, Canada, where you will catch a one hour and fifteen minute airplane flight north. You will fly by some of the highest and most majestic peaks in British Columbia. This is a very exciting  time for all of us as new and returning members of the BCHS family arrive.

At the Bella Coola airport our staff will welcome you. We will transport you and your luggage to the West Coast Helicopter hangar just around the corner. Here we will serve you a hot lunch and begin the introduction to our guides and

helicopter personnel.

The guides and pilots will give you an up-to-date weather forecast and inform you about the snow conditions. This is followed by a helicopter safety orientation including beacon practice and the signing of our waiver of liability. You will then be fitted for skis, if you are using our complimentary Rossignol Fats, and you will change into your ski gear. Now it's time to ski and ride!

Our plan is to have you do as many runs as daylight will allow for. After your last run you are flown directly to the Tweedsmuir Lodge. Your luggage awaits you in your cabin. A welcome reception is next with après ski snacks served in our dining room. You are home..you are part of the family!
