British Columbia is the birthplace of helicopter skiing and continues to be the world's number one destination for heli sports.

After years of searching we discovered Bella Coola, and found it to be ideal in terms of geographic features, climate, and diversity of sport and eco-tourism activities.

The Bella Coola valley is located approximately 400 kilometres north of Vancouver, in the Coast Range of British Columbia. This is the most rugged and inaccessible of all regions in British Columbia, unless you have a trusty helicopter that is? Here, there is no need to "farm" snow.

We are fortunate to have acquired 1.5 million acres (5,700 sq/km) of pristine and untouched BC wilderness. This is more than 200 times larger than the combined skiing area of Whistler/Blackcomb Resort. Our strength lies in high alpine terrain and majestic scenery with jagged rock towers, giant glacier bowls, and steep couloirs crowned by enormous peaks.

Many of our runs are 1,500 to 1,800 vm's (5,000 to 6,000 v.ft). We have exceptional tree skiing!! Some of our tree skiing runs, used mostly in case of poorer weather, are only a few minutes away from the lodge.
