Why not discover the mountains the way the pros do, using both helicopter and lung-power? As conditions allow we can tackle easy going ski-mountaineering objectives and traverses, all guaranteed to fill you with a sense of adventure and a wilderness ski experience that's unparalleled. We want to make it clear that these trips are not backbreaking expeditions. The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment - we carefully tailor our trips to the ability of the group.

Lodge Based

Ski and tour all day and experience true adventure then return to a warm bed, personalized Canadian hospitality. The accommodations are a very short trip from the hangar, which is ten minutes by air from some of Canada's greatest skiing.

Educational Value

Our goal is to share our knowledge of the magnificent mountains. Our guides are well versed in the local flora, fauna, history and culture of this dramatic landscape. They are happy to share their mountain skills too.

This is Backcountry Skiing

Our guides are all experts in mountaineering, snow safety and ski touring. They are all A.C.M.G. certified. The emphasis is on safety - snow conditions may limit the terrain we choose to ski - you need to be aware that where you end up skiing is at the sole discretion of your guide.

You will be learning and practicing backcountry and snow safety drills, your participation in which is mandatory. If you are not prepared to be personally involved in this aspect of your adventure then perhaps this isn't the trip for you. Bella Coola Helisports reserves the right to refuse individual participation on any trip if they are deemed unsuitable to participate.
