Terrain & Snow

Big Mountain Heliskiing is just how it sounds... BIG. With over 1.5 million acres of mindblowing ski & snowboard terrain, Bella Coola Heli Sports backyard stands in a league of it's own. Keeping the groups small and cohesive, you and your buddies can pretty much have your way with more lines than you could shred in a lifetime. All untracked.

Accessing the same epic lines as our Tweedsmuir Lodge packages, our Big Mountain Heliskiing packages simply strip-down the package to focus on what matters most to you... heli time.

Big Vert

You've seen it in the movies or you've skied with us before, either way you probably know that nowhere else compares to Bella Coola Heli Sports impressive alpine terrain and majestic surroundings. Huge rock spires, couloirs, glacier bowls in an amphitheater of unmistakeably West Coast mountains.

You can count on runs of 5000 to 6000 vertical feet (1500 to 1800 vertical metres), with the longest yielding 7000 thigh-burning vertical feet (2150 vertical meters) of bliss. Take Vail Colorado, stack Steamboat on top of it, remove all but 8 of the skiers, and add untracked snow from top to bottom. If that works for you, give us a call.

Varied Terrain

Where there's snow, there's snow days. But we've got your back. When it's coming down to hard to hit the alpine, we've got a whole powdery stash of tree skiing just a few minutes from the lodge.

Snow, And Lots Of It

Our snow pack is among the deepest in British Columbia, straddling a coastal climate to the west and a dry interior climate to the east.

Like elsewhere in the Coast Range our snow pack significantly more stable than most, with generally low recorded avalanche hazards. Its a direct result of our consistent, temperate climate and reliable snowfall, and means you can shred steeper lines than you might elsewhere.
