The Mountains

Towering at the apex of the Coast Range, the Pantheons have some of the biggest peaks and longest runs you'll find anywhere. With a tenure surrounding Mt Waddington, BC's most prominent and mysterious peak, Pantheon Helisports offers a true Canadian heli-skiing experience in most inspiring terrain imaginable.

Situated on the Eastern (inland) flank of the Coast Range, Pantheon's peaks see slightly less snowfall than neighbouring Bella Coola, but you can expect drier and lighter snow for effortless skiing and riding.

Named the Pantheon range by early explorers, the local peaks of Mt Thor, Mt Vishnu, Mt Zeus and so on are all well deserving of their deity. Come ski with the gods this winter.

Location

The Pantheon Helisports zone is about 200 kilometres (120 miles) north of Vancouver, and access for heli skiing is very convenient. A short 1 hour 15 minute flight from Vancouver, BC, gets you to Anahim Lake. This is followed by a 2 hour drive to get to White Saddle Ranch. Another option is to fly by helicopter in which case you are at the Ranch in 25 minutes.

Terrain

The Pantheon Helisports tenure is 500,000 hectares (5,000 sq/km or 1,950 sq/m) of 3,000 to 5,000 foot descents located in the confluence of three mountain ranges well known to climbers and professional skiers: the Waddington Range, Niut Range and Pantheon Range. The terrain is 40% strong intermediate, 40% advanced and 20% expert.

The Pantheon and Waddington ranges form the divide between the Klinaklini River to the West, and the Homathko River to the East. The Pantheon Range consists of major uplifts separated by broad U shaped valleys. In other words, perfect for heli skiing and boarding.
