Big is Beautiful – New Terrain, New Heli Programs
If you haven't heard already, we've successfully expanded our tenure; connecting our Big Mountain & Tweedsmuir Lodge terrain with our Pantheon location - forming the single largest Heli Skiing tenure in Canada, if not the world. There is now 1.1 million hectares, that's 2.64 million acres, of jaw-dropping terrain, and it's all reserved for a few small groups of lucky skiers and riders.
Imagine having the fastest, most versatile quad lift ever devised, and the entire Swiss Alps to fly around in. There are no roads, no tracks, and not even any other people. The potential would be limitless.
New adventures
This expanded tenure is the inspiration for our new Ski Safari adventures. Basically the plan is to explore and take advantage of all the varied terrain that our tenure area allows by combining a trip with stays at both the Tweedsmuir Lodge and the Pantheons. The highlight will be the transfer day as you fly and ski 200 kilometres along the spine of the Coast Range including the highest peak in the province. The terrain is so spectacular that the Hollywood films “Kundun”, “K2” and “Seven Years in Tibet” were filmed here.
Also new this year, we’re introducing a Bell 204c to our Pantheon Helisports program. This is a private heli program for a group of eight guests and two guides. The Bell 204c has a massive engine that can fly a full load of guests with full tank of gas and still has lift capacity to spare. These means we can fly farther and longer without refueling. Most importantly, we are adding two extra hours of flying time and reducing the costs per person. For you this means more skiing and riding - and you will be able to afford to come back more often!
