Kevin Sansalone Heli-Boarding Bella Coola
On March 5th, 2010, Vancouver snowboard icon, original Seymour Skid and part owner of Sandbox, Kevin Sansalone, came to shred the pow of Bella Coola with us. During his time here he was testing a prototype board, from a relatively new snowboard company, WhiteGold Snowboards and managed to get some great shots while here. The board was crazy! A specific deep pow board, that looked more like a wild 1970's thruster (surfboard), but what was crazier was the smooth video that Kevin got from nothing but a telescopic ski pole, and a GoPro HD video camera.
Below is a video of Kevin dropping 5000 vertical feet with the camera watching his every move. There is also a video of the first day of there trip, it can be viewed on Point of View Cameras.
