Meet Our Guides

An Absolute Dedication to the Profession

When it comes to safety in the mountains, there is nothing more important that the people we employ. When it comes to our guides, we make no exceptions. We employ some of the best guides in the business and have hand-selected our team to ensure that we have a complimentary selection of unique personalities and personas. Common among all of our guides is their lifelong dedication to the profession and a razor-sharp skill set when it comes to navigating the massive mountains surrounding Bella Coola, British Columbia.

All our guides are certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG), the International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations (IFMGA), and/or the Canadian Ski Guides Association (CSGA). In addition to this, our guides have years of experience specifically related to heliskiing, as well as the soft skills required to ensure that you feel confident, inspired, and supported while in the mountains with us.

Our guide team is led by John Furneaux, Director of Mountain Operations, who has over 20 years of guide experience all around Canada, the Arctic, the Himalayas, and Africa, including several expeditions to Mount Everest.

His experience in the mountains began at the age of 16 when he moved to Squamish to pursue his passion for adventure and to become an ACMG/IFMGA certified guide. His experience and safety training projects passion and reverberates through his team. This allows us to guide clients to some truly wild places with confidence.
